[SOLVED] Can't get USB working under Windows 7 guest

Post by Flekain »

Hello

I'm using Linux Mint Debian Edition 64bits (based on debian testing). I added the Oracle Debian repo to get the latest Virtualbox.
Now I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (guest) under Debian Mint (host)
I installed the guest addition, but I'm still unable to get USB support under W7.
I also added my user to the vboxusr group.
And finally, I installed the extension pack under my host, provided in the official Oracle website.

It still does not work, I still have the USB device menu in grey.

I really need usb support, could you help me ?

Thanks à lot ;)

Did you log off and back on after you added your user name to the vboxusers group? Maybe even a host reboot?
