I tried to set a virtual machine with windows 7 from my laptop Toshiba satellite recovery DVD that I had previously created.
The installation procedure was ok. But every time windows starts and thge desktop appear the after 2 sec I have restart... and again and again...
I have virtualbox 4.0.2 on ubuntu 10.0.4 as host.
I am not a fun of open source solutions for many reasons but I decide to give a try... But this is the result. And now? How can someone convince me for the opposite?
(Not to mention that for 2 hours that I have installed ubuntu I often have problems)
Thanks

Re: repeated restarts
The case have been closed... The problem was the Toshiba's recovery dvd... It demands so many restarts and so many time until the end that I thought there was problem...!!! The same things happens if you setup from a clear PC (without virtualbox)
But now I have another problem. I have as host Windows 7 (64bit) and as guest windows xp pro. But virtualbox does not allow me to increase the memory allocation for the guest over 1.18 GB. If I do it then when the guest boots it appears a message that the host machine has very low memory and stopped!!! The machine has 6GB RAM!!!!!!
What a hell is this? I can not work with so little memory. I need 2GB at least! If this problem can not be solved virtual box is totally useless for me!
Thanks
