Security system dvr video Grey screen

Post by ptfd9100 »

I have a winxp pro with all updates, IE8 running Vbox 4.02 updated. Host is Kubuntu 10.10 up to date.

Everything has been working fine for years, Have used the product.

I now bought an SVAT security camera system. I can access the system through my VPN and everything works except the actual video. It is Grey screens. I used a native XP box and it works as expected.
I called SVAT and their tech says it wont work due to the "Default" monitor?

Anyone have any way to get this to work? I cant carry a Windows machine around everywhere...

What does the system expect? see on a working system what config values it uses and where it saves such settings, you might be able to import them into the VM.
