New to Linux huh? Ubuntu does not use drive letters that is a Windows thing.
It looks like you have the Windows guest working or we would not see the Drive in a screenshot. So my question is what exactly are you wanting to do?

Use the shared folders in VirtualBox.
That or you would need to create a raw connection (see the VirtualBox users manual and warnings).

Basically you select what it is you want to share in the guest settings of the VM (in the shared folders section) while the guest is shut down.
Start the guest and (since it is Windows) look in the network section of the file manager and it will be there.
You must have the guest additions installed in the guest for the shared folders to work.

Is you login name in the vboxusers group (on the host)
Typu id in the hosts terminal and if you do not see vboxusers do the following:
In a host terminal run this:
Code: Select all
sudo usermod -aG vboxusers <your username>
Replace <your username> with the name you use to log in. Type your user password when prompted.

Be sure that the guest is shut down and reboot the host after you set new permissions in the host.

You installed VirtualBox and it says that vboxusers group does not exist?
Where did you get your copy of VirtualBox from? and what version is it?
