Guest Additions 3.1.2 > 4.0.2, XP stops booting

I experienced the following problem, I upgraded to 4.0.2 and run my virtual machine very well,
and I decided to upgrade Guest Additions to reflect the version of host, it was wrong decision
if dies on boot sequence with Blue Screen of Death flashing for somewhat about half a second, and
then it goes to reboot, and loading XP in safe mode helps -- if I remove Guest Additions, everything is OK, interesting fact: in safe mode the Guest Additions operates pretty good -- my cursor goes in and out of virtual machine, the only difference is that there is only VGA screen not a VirutalBox Adapter,
I suspect VirtualBox adapter is guilty in all this situation.

I cured my XP by installing back GuestAdditions from 3.1.2 (manually copied *.iso from previous distribution, mounted and installed from that)
So I may conclude that problem is somewhere in GA of 4.0.2
