I am running WindowsXP on a Ten gig dynamic partition, is it possible to either swell it out to 20 gig on my 320 gig hdd? I'm ruming a triple core AMD with 2 gig DDR2 and have better than 75% of my drive free. If this is not possible is it possible to to create another 10 gig vdi and set it up as D drive? I figure the questions are foolish but I've little to loose at this point. If it matters I am running Ubuntu 10.04. Thanks for the advise in advance.

Either use CloneVDI tool (see Windows Hosts forum, on Ubuntu host you run this under Wine), or see user manual for "VBoxManage modifyhd --resize". Either of those will change the disk size. To then change a partition to fill the enlarged drive, best tool is a gparted live cd.

Thanks for the advise but I played around last night until 0230 and I opened the vbox and went to Settings. There I highlighted the IDE Controller and added a new virtual drive attached to the same controller. The I fired the XP up and Initialized the new drive and assigned it to be F drive. Maybe someone else will be helped with all of this.

Thanks again.
