Can't read the Windows XP bluescreen
I like to use an existing Windows XP partition with virtualbox, host is Debian Linux an i'm using virtualbox 3.2.12. Now while booting i have a hardware problem. This is normal cause Winows doesn't know about virtualbox and needs some new drivers first. But i can't see what's wrong and what i need to do next with my Windows installation. From Windows i get a bluescreen. But there is no time to read the error message on this bluescrean cause virtualbax makes a reset of the VM directly while Windows shows the bluescreen. What can i do to read the error message on bluscreen? I have found nothing to deaktivate this stupid auto reset function.

Re: Can't read the Windows XP bluescreen
Press F8 at Windows boot and see if you can boot in safe mode.

other than safe mode, with F8 there should be an option to turn off the stupid auto reset too

Re: Can't read the Windows XP bluescreen
After you get into Safe Mode, right-click My Computer in the Start Menu, choose Properties. Choose the Advanced tab, then System Startup's Settings button, then uncheck the Automatically Restart box. Now restart the XP guest normally, not in Safe mode. Your BSOD should now stay up for you to see.

Okay, that's a Windows side adjustment. I got it, thanks.
