Direct3D Related Problem in Windows XP SP3

I tried to run a Direct3D game on Windows XP SP3 in VirtualBox, following steps below:
1.Install XP SP3 in virtualbox. Enable 2D & 3D Acceleration in display settings (Screenshot1) .
2.Start XP SP3 in safe mode to install Guest Additions with D3D support. Restart in normal mode and run dxdiag to check whether D3D Acceleration is successfully enabled (Screenshot2) .
3.Run the game. The game comes up with a dialogue that asked to do some graphics settings. But there is nothing to choose under "Choose a Direct3D device" option (Screenshot3) .
Is there a workaround for this problem?
