VirtualBox 4.0.2 - USB flash/disk drive access on a XP SP3 G

VirtualBox 4.0.2 - USB flash/disk drive access on a XP SP3 G
Looking for direction as to why I can't access USB drives while in XP SP3 Guest OS. I've installed the extension pack, I've added the USB filters with VID/PID info. I've tried VB with XP SP3 Guest on a HP Desktop and Dell laptop, and still have the same issue. Any direction much appreciated.
