search function on this board

Hey, all.

I'm trying to search this board and it seems to work ok. But when I choose a topic to read from the results lists there's no way to get back to the search results list. If I press the back button it asks if I want to resend this command. Am I missing something obvious here.

thanks

Probably a limitation of the forum software. There was talk of updating it once, don;t know if it ever happened.

I've gotten into the habit of opening links to a new tab when I want to read down a list I've searched for. Saves the original list to go back to. Right-click, Open as New Tab, or click scroll wheel.

I think so, yes. The browser back button is implemented by your browser, not by this site.

I don't see this issue at all. backspace, browser back and even mouse back and forward buttons works as expected. What browser are you using. I have tested this in Firefox (my default) as well as IE (only testing). Maybe there is a setting in your browser that requires this "renewal".

Thanks for the responses.

Interesting, I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 and Firefox 3.6.13 - all update to latest. I'm not one to change the browser settings around much and I only have a couple addons - ElasticFox, Moonlight, Rclick-Link. Broswer back button, mouse back button both cause the Cancel/Resend popup. It's not really a big issue for me, opening a new page or tab is no big deal. I just thought I would mention it, since it's got to add to the work load for the forum server though. Plus you just don't see the issue much anymore, use to see it a lot in the old days.
