Slow scrolling

Post by cmrcx »

When I scroll in my Linux guest using two fingers on the trackpad of my MacBook, it scrolls very slow. I have to move my fingers a quite long way to make it scroll one step. It's slower than in MacOSX and it's also slower than in a VMware Fusion Linux guest.

Any ideas where this can be adjusted? Somewhere in the VirtualBox source code, maybe in the guest additions? Or in the Linux guest?

Ive got the exact same problem... been trying to figure it out for several hours now. Its as though vbox is having a hard time translating the scroll motion. I did try using a microsoft mouse (usb), but had the same problem. Have guest additions installed.

Have you found an answer to this problem yet?

More than likely you adjust this in the guest display settings, by turning off smooth scrolling.

Have you tried setting "Enable absolute pointing device" in the System > Motherboard settings?
