(version 3.1.2) I looked at the help file for "Vboxmanage controlvm" (section 8.11) to find the command to do the same as "ACPI Shutdown (Host-H)" on the Machine menu of a running VM. Found nothing. Searched on the forum here and found mention of "acpipowerbutton", which, it turns out, is mentioned very briefly in section 8.2, "Commands Overview." I looked on the up-to-date Help File on Virtualbox website, same thing. Passing mention in section 8.2, no mention in section 8.11
I think this useful command should be discussed in section 8.11, along with the "acpisleepbutton" command. Anyone else?
Put "acpipowerbutton" in the ControlVM help section?

Re: Put "acpipowerbutton" in the ControlVM help section?
I would think that the description of the option itself is self-explaining. What is there to explain about a power button and sleep button?
