Nano write out permissions
When I attempt to write out (im assuming this means save) a very simple nano C file. I get the error Error Writing (file name). Permission Denied. What do I do?

Re: Nano write out permissions
Not sure that this has anything to do with VirtualBox. Where are you trying to save the file?

I still don't see what this has to do with VirtualBox.
If you are new to Ubuntu and having permission problems perhaps you should ask them. Ubuntu Forums

Re: Nano write out permissions
So you don't think that he permission problem is related to the fact thats running in a box

Re: Nano write out permissions
I don't see how. The only thing that it could be is if you were trying to save to a shared folder, but that still is the configuration of Ubuntu.

Re: Nano write out permissions
It WAS answered : the issue lied with Ubuntu - most likely the user tried to write where it had no security right to do so.
