xorg.conf missing

Hello,

I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 as guest and installed Guest Additions.
Everything works fine.

Now, I have installed IBM Client Access for Linux and it gives me errors when trying to find /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Code: Select all

manic@ubuntu:/opt/ibm/iSeriesAccess/bin$ ./ibm5250
5250: [ INFORMATIONAL ]: Build Date: March 2008 (1.6).
5250: [ DEBUG ]: RegistryInfo::WhichKeyboard(): Could not open file /etc/X11/XF86Config or /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
5250: [ ERROR ]: NSC0017: Xt Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion.
Do I need to install graphic drivers and will that work with Guest Additions?
Is there a solution for this problem?

ps. I can locate xconf.d folder but I don't think that is it:

Code: Select all

manic@ubuntu:/opt/ibm/iSeriesAccess/bin$ locate xorg.conf
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-vboxmouse.conf
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-vmmouse.conf
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-wacom.conf
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/51-synaptics-quirks.conf
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/60-magictrackpad.conf
/usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/examples/xorg.conf
/usr/share/man/man5/xorg.conf.5.gz
Thank you.

VirtualBox does not use or control the guests need for or against xorg.conf.
You would need to ask Ubuntu or IBM about this requirement.

Nevermind, it seems like in Ubuntu 10.10 there is no xorg.conf by default.
