iMac 20, OSX 10.6.6, VB 4.0.0, Ubuntu 10.10 won't run.

Post by DiscoMuzz »

Hi. Newbie.

Just installed VB 4.0.0 and Ubuntu 10.10 on my iMac 20 running OSX 10.6.6.

All went well and seemed to be running perfectly, however after iMac reboot I can't get Ubuntu running. I get the following error message in VB.

Runtime error opening '/Users/Muzz/VirtualBox VMs/Linux Ubuntu 10.10/Linux Ubuntu 10.10.vbox' for reading: -102 (File not found.).
/Users/vbox/tinderbox/mac-rel/src/VBox/Main/MachineImpl.cpp[679] (nsresult Machine::registeredInit()).
Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:
VirtualBox
Interface:
IVirtualBox {d2de270c-1d4b-4c9e-843f-bbb9b47269ff}

Any ideas would be helpful.

Cheers
Murray

Since the error is 'file not found', it's quite easy to see if it's true: does the file exist or not? If it doesn't, then there's your problem.

Thanks Sasquatch.

All seems to have sorted itself out after a couple of re-installs.

Love virtualbox by the way.
