Hello Everyone,
Are there any issues running VirtualBox VDIs stored on a Windows File Share? Are there any data corruption issues? Do I need iSCSI instead?
I do currently have a VDI hosted on a SMB share and performance over a gigabit network is more than adequate (very fast).
Any comments are welcomed.
Thanks.

Re: Virtual Box over SMB
I've run a few VMs through sshfs (SSH file sharing for Linux) and even though speed was noticeably slower, it did still perform enough to work with. I haven't seen data corruption through that, so I would say that using SMB will provide a similar result. Just make sure you make backups on a regular basis to avoid data loss in case you do get corruption.
