Windows 2008 R2 w/ HyperV Role

Hello,
I would like to do some testing of Windows 2008 R2 w/ HyperV role in the latest version of VMware Workstation. When I attempt to add the HyperV role I encounter the following error message:
Hyper-V cannot be installed
The processor on this computer is not compatible with Hyper-V. To install this role, the processor must have a supported version of hardware-assisted virtualization, and that feature must be turned on in the BIOS
How do I run Windows 2008 R2 w/ HyperV role in the latest version of VMware Workstation?
