Dedicated server, set up static ip on guest

OK so I have a dedicated server set up, Ubuntu web server 64bit. I have phpvirtualbox successfully configured and running. I can create vms etc but they all run on the dedicated servers ip:port#. How do I set a static ip for the guest OS so that i can have it basically running as a vps. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have to ask the ISP of the dedicated server supplier for this. We don't provide IP addresses. And how to set them, that's different for each OS and is described in it's own documentation.

If you bothered to search the forums, as noted in the Forum Posting Guide, you would have found the answer already.
