3d error

Post by halfpipe »

i'm currently running xp sp3 host with xp sp2 guest, i've installed guest additions in safe mode and am having trouble with a few 3d mmo's not running properly, the games i installed are portable so i just copy folder and run exe, startup of games is ok except for what looks like a half sized vertically mirrored version of the game ghosting in the bottom left corner of the game window. when i try to enter the game or select an animated sprite the graphic block out and the game stops responding if i continue to try loading it.

Any ideas to help me run it properly?

*i haven't tried running games in ubuntu as i dn't really want to go through wine on a vm

With XP as Host, and as Guest, I wonder why you want to use the Guest to play the game when the Host is more suited for it. Your question is quite useless without knowing what games you want to play too.

Oh, and don't bother Linux with Wine in a VM, it's dead slow if it even works.
