Is it possible to remap the "copy/paste" shortcut keys in Windows VirtualBox so they align with a Macs copy/paste? I'd like to be able to use Command+c to copy instead of control+c and of course Command+v to paste instead of Control+v. I think we could in Parallels. It just makes it easier and more consistent.

Then you have to remap they keys on the Guest. In this case, remap the windows logo key (that's the same signal the cmd-key generates) so it sends ctrl instead. There is plenty of software that can do this if you search a bit with your favourite websearch.

In order to re-map my keys in WinXP using Sharpkeys, i had to change the virtualbox "host key" which can be done in the virtualbox preference window. I changed my host key to be the right command key so that it freed up the left command key to be remapped to the windows control key. Works like a charm.

Specifically, on my MacBook Pro with Windows XP as guest I used these settings on Sharpkeys.
Not only did I have to map CTRL over to the Windows key ('00_1D' -> 'E0_5B'), but I had to do the reverse mapping too ('E0_5B' -> '00_1D').
Hope this helps someone. Took me over a year to figure out!

I just tried this, but it doesn't work on a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion.
Pressing Control Tab for example switches me out of the full screen Windows OS. This is a deal breaker for me. Can Virtual Box fix this, or perhaps I should use VMWare

For allowing standard Mac key sequences to continue working, as well for other things, I use maComfort under Windows. It works great to make life with Windows a bit sweeter.
