VDI size mismatch to guest system disk size
I am newbie so be gentle. Running OS X host with W7 Pro guest. Set up original files at 20 Gb - all worked great. Discovered the vdi file size is too small with installed software in the guest. Ran modifyhd successfully to increase the vdi size. Now the vdi file size reports properly at 40 Gb but when operating inside the box using W7 - it reports the original file size as 20 Gb for the virtual hard drive. Is there a way to correct this or will W7 it simply expand beyond the 20 Gb it thinks it has as a drive?

Re: VDI size mismatch to guest system disk size
What you have done is increased the size of the drive, now you will more than likely need to increase the size of the partition that Windows created during install and setup.
I use gparted to achieve this.

Thanks for your help - this worked perfectly. I used a tool called EASEUS - Home edition - seemed much simpler than the suggested tool. You should check it out. Anyway, thanks again for your 100% solution.
