4 small issues in 4.0 with Ubuntu 10.10 guests

Post by Romario »

Hi,
sys: VB4.0GA on Win7/64 (Intel HD graphics) and Vista64 (ATI 5800 10.11 driver)
guests: Ubuntu 10.10 32 and 64bit, addons are installed

1) when starting the VMs in fullscreen often keyboard does not work but mouse input
- switching to another app and back to VM solves it

2) Problems with shared folders (two issues):
I have one folder specified and turned automount on - but have specified the mount in /etc/fstab
this results in two mounts, one in ubuntu's default underneath /media/{mount} (? or different path don't know now)
and one in my fstab location
- I learned, if I specify the mount in fstab all other automounts will not kick in - this is imho wrong but probably an ubuntu bug.

3)
- the actual problem is, both mounts succeed and can be seen with 'mount' command but only the default mount works and contains the right files from my windows host - without error or warning ... - this seems to be a bug in vboxsf?

4) vlc shows garbage
- any video played with vlc (default output setting) shows garbage until I resize the vlc window, then screen magically shows the video

Anybody can confirm?
Should I file bug reports for 1,3 and 4?

Regards
Rainer
