Unable to install Virtualbox

Post by Heffgé »

Hi,

I just downloaded VB 4 (french version for Windows) but I can't install it (Win XP). The message is :
Installation failed! Error: Le chemin d'accès spécifié est introuvable
I guess in english that should be : the specified path is missing.

I downloaded previous version (3.2.12) and tried to install but I got the same message.

There's no log file created anywhere nor any item in Windows event log.

Anyone has got an idea ? Thanking you in advance.

Did you start installation from some exotic path? Try to copy install file to C:\ and run installer. Maybe some bug in installer.

I tried. It doesn't change anything.

Something is not where installer thinks it is. But what ?
