Flash CPU

Post by deferredreward »

Running Adobe Flash for anything like watching TV or playing Flash games on a Mac runs the CPU up well over 100% & the fans start going crazy & everything gets really hot.

So... I don't know how applications running under VirtualBox show up in the OSX Activity Monitor (I use Windows version to run Linux-considering emulating Windows on a Mac), but can anybody tell me if running Flash like YouTube, Hulu or (say) Farmville in a Windows browser until VirtualBox spikes the CPU or if it runs more reasonably like on a normal Windows machine?

Thanks!

Is there no flash for MacOS Host?

Flash is a Resource Monster. Best practice is running on host.

O, I agree, generally - but Flash is so bad on a Mac that I'm curious to know if it runs better in a Windows guest.

Flash on Windows is better, i think here Mac is Linux compatible :)

But not in a VBOX, you cant use hardware acceleration like on the host native.

For Youtube you can use this:
