I noticed that when I remove the files in /Library/StartupItems/VirtualBox, I can't start my Windows XP virtual machine. I'd however like to manually start these stuff when I want to use VirtualBox, instead of it starting at boot and running 24/7.
I used to use VMware and they have a solution for it http://communities.vmware.com/thread/12 ... 0&tstart=0
I just want as little crap running as possible, I don't mind typing a few terminal commands when I want to start VirtualBox.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks

Re: Manually start stuff in /Library/StartupItems/VirtualBox
sudo touch /Library/StartupItems/VirtualBox/.disabled
sudo /Library/StartupItems/VirtualBox/VirtualBox start
sudo /Library/StartupItems/VirtualBox/VirtualBox start
