Hi folks -- I am new to Mac OS. I have VB installed and can run a Windows Vista guest. My question is, is it possible to run a Windows guest in "headless" mode? If so, how do I execute the command-line to run the guest in headless mode? What is the Mac equivalent of opening a Cmd/DOS window?
Why would I want to do this? Well, I'm thinking that the MS RDP Client for Mac will work "better" than the VB GUI... In other words, I will connect to the Windows via RDP, even though Windows is running on the same machine.

Re: how to start Windows Guest in headless mode
The Mac equivalent to opening a Cmd/DOS window is running the Terminal app in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.
Yes, it is possible to run a Windows guest in "headless" mode. Rather than cutting and pasting here the relevant sections of the User Manual, it might be best if you open the VirtualBox User Manual using the Preview app and do a search for the term "headless". The manual has all the gritty details.

Re: how to start Windows Guest in headless mode
Got it working. Thanks.
For other noobs, for the host to connect to the guest (e.g., RDP, sql, web server, etc.) I had to change the network to "bridged" mode (I'm thinking this is required but not positive).
