mount USB drive in Guest OS

Post by viren2egi »

Hello
How can I mount the USB dirve to my Guest OS on Virtual box my Guest OS is Windows-XP and my Host OS is Ubuntu 10.02.
I seem that there is option in Virtual Box under Setting Tab for Enabling USB Controller but still the Windows-XP doesn't seem to detect the USB port attached to the machine. Am I missing anything.

Regards
Viren

If your profile is correct you are running VirtualBox OSE edition from Ubuntu which doesn't have USB support.

Martin speaks the truth, but if you install Version 4 of VirtualBox you can download and install the ExtPack and get it all to work properly.
