Is there a way, perhaps with a 3rd party addon, to manage vbox with a client-server model? Ex: use a client to connect to the vbox server, and see the VMs and be able to manage them from there. I know there's the RDP thing but I'm wondering if there's something closer to a typical front end like Vsphere, for example.
I know there's also the phpvirtualbox, would this achieve what I want? I have not tried it yet.
Currently, I run all my VMs in a VNC session, but this is kinda dirty. i'd like to make it so the VMs run more "in the background" but still be able to see all of them from an interface, and be able to manage/console them, create new ones, etc.
client-server management?
This is for discussing general topics about how to use VirtualBox.
