I have successfully installed XP but now want to add an HD at "/media/ACER/". I have tried:
VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename /home/andrew/ -rawdisk /media/ACER -register
But recieved an error:
File '/media/ACER' is no block device
Can I have some tips on how to add this drive to an existing Virtual Machine.
Thank for any help.

Read the manual and know the consequences of using RAW Disk Access. There is also a guide in the tutorials section for getting Windows through RAW disk in a VM on Linux.

Re: Add HD from 'media/'
The -rawdisk parameter needs the /dev/xxx devicename, not the /media/yyy mount point.
