Hi~there~
i'm new :) ,last night i tried to install the nokiasoftwareupdatersetup to update my cellphone in the guest XP,it appeared the error message"initializing failed, cannot proceed" when i clicke on the nokiasoftwaresetup :( ,i use tri-OS on my PC,i did the same with virtualbox under the host Vista and Ubuntu 10.04,the version of VB is 4.0.0,i guess that it may be caused by the VM's hardware, but i'm not sure,
Can anyone help me to resolve this problem?i hate to install it in vista by defaut~

Make sure USB is enabled in VB and the USB device is attached and the OS is detecting it, then try installing again while its connected and detected.

i 've resolved this problem.
i clicked the installation in the shared folder which is set read-only,but it still didn't work when i allowed guest OS to access the file in shared folder.
at last,i decided to copy the nokiasoftwareupdatersetup into the guest OS,and then, it worked...
but i didn't update my cell phone successfully in the guest OS,because of the failure of cellphone driver,i don't know why...
thanks all the way~Winipulator~ :)
