Hello!

How come we have to install experimental Direct3D in safe mode for v4? I took a screen shot/capture from my old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3 session from my old, updated Debian/Linux host box: http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/7818 ... hot2gg.png ...

Do other Windows OS' (W2K SP4, Vista, W7, etc.) have this problem too?

Thank you in advance. :)

It's always been that way. While you could install it (before) in normal mode it would be replaced by Windows protection on first reboot and the Windows files were put back in.
It has been explained in your VirtualBox users guide in previous versions since 3D came out, perhaps you simply missed it.

Oh it was? I didn't know that, and I don't read the manuals/help unless I have issues. :) In fact, I don't think I ever used Direct3D in VirtualBox. I just install it because it is available.
