Upgraded to 4.0, Hard drive fails to mount

Post by dougbitt »

after upgrading to 4.0, the hard drive fails to mount.
I've tried reinstalling several times. And as of now, I can only get it to work with version 3.2.10.
Does anyone have a clue as to why the hard drive will not mount.?

Be more specific. Which hard drive? Which Error Message? Log?

Have you tried creating a new VM Image and then attaching it to your existing hard drive - the one you cannot use at the moment? I have had to do this for both my linux guests (but not for XP) when moving to VB 4.0.
