Virtualbox messed up after system backup

Post by reimer »

I have some trouble in running some machines after setting

/Applications/VirtualBox.app
~/Library/VirtualBox

to an older state where ~/Library/VirtualBox/Machines wasn't in the backup. I remember that I excluded that folder to avoid big incremental backups. It's not been the best strategy as I notice. Am I *censored* up?

The error I get:
Could not open the medium '/Users/me/Library/VirtualBox/HardDisks/Windows.vdi'.
VD: error VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND opening image file '/Users/me/Library/VirtualBox/HardDisks/Windows.vdi' (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND).

Error code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: Medium
Interface: IMedium {1d...3ccdc...8f}
Is there a chance to boot from the images again?
