Games on Windows 2000 guest with a Windows 7 Host

hi ive been using virtualbox for 2 years now and havent been able to fix my problem. see i have an old rpg game called Ultima 9-Ascension and it requires Direct 3D but none of the devices that support it show up in virtualbox and i have all of the guest addition including 3d accelerations installed but it still wont work please help as i havent played this game at all and windows 7 wont play it cuz its compatibility mode sucks any help would be greatly appreciated
