I've been practicing Oracle RDBMS installs and I've noticed occasional corruption in the database files. The VM storage is thin provisioned. Could that be the issue? This has happened several times now under both Win7-64 and Oracle Linux.
At this point, I'm running dbv daily, but I can switch to allocated disks also.
Is it safe to Thin Provision storage under an Oracle RDBMS?
