"Windows Failed to Start" Windows Boot Manager - Help
My MacBook froze and had to shutdown while VB was running. I started it up again and tried to start VB and it goes to Windows Boot Manager screen saiying Windows Failed to Load. Status: 0xc000000f Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccesible. It wants me to boot with the install disc but I don't know how to do that with VB and can't find out with my searches. Can anyone help me find a way to repair my VB Windows 7? I have a lot of important code etc on there. I have the install disc. I just don;t know how to get VB to boot from it and repair the Win7 VB guest.

You say you have the install disc, then how did you install Windows in VB again? Use the same trick, but instead of running the actual install, run the repair mode. It's an option in the installer when you boot from the disc.

Thanks. I finally figured it out after a while yesterday. One problem I do have now(although it is better than losing all my files) is that the C: drive now says it is ntfs and my desktop is only read/writable when accessed through the Network area. If I try the read/write to the visible desktop I get an error saying I can't access it.I can't install new programs either. Weird. Think I'm going to get a real Win 7 laptop soon.

Or just get the data from it and start over with a fresh install. Another thing you can do is install Bootcamp and work through that. It does involve rebooting your Mac every time you need Windows though.
