seamless windows blanks out screen

awfully quiet here....... hope someone is reading
I've watched the Fatblokes videos http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/VirtualB ... oxLiveShow
several times - and although he is amazingly using a Mac ( I thought only TV stars and trendy wealthy absolute-non-techs did that ) the instructions are really simple enough and the displays are similar, when I hit "seamless" option, the Vbox window trashes.
I do have guests running.
Also I cannot resize the in-screen vbox display, despite following the drop-down options.

You have Windows 7 as Host. Your profile says you have the OSE edition, now did you compile it yourself? If you didn't, and grabbed it from the website, then you have the PUEL version.

As for the issue, what version do you have and what version of the Guest Additions do you have installed? The VM settings are also quite useful to have.

Thanks for the quick reply!!
I thought the details were in my sig. (used to being somewhere else!)
THe system is current with everything as of a few hours ago.

The data from my sign up is not accurate - I had no idea what some "required" data was about.
The Vbox is the current version - updated from a past install which was direct from the VBox Site.

3.2.12 r 68302
OS is Windows 7
Guest is Windows XP
Guest was re-installed too:
3.2.4 r 62467

I cannot move anything from screen to screen (as per the Fatguy demo)
Clik seamless and the Vbox is trashed.

Shame nobody has made demo vids for the other 92% of users - but I can't see what great difference there could be - unless it is to do with the Mac actually running Linux, perhaps?
