DOS Program locks up XP Pro Guest

I have a Laptop with Win 7 Home Premium running a Guest Host XP Pro everything runs fine except a DOS Program I use called First Choice when I try to run it attempts to Load then locks up the Guest OS. I have this same setup on a desktop
with Windows 7 professional running XP Pro has a guest and First Choice runs just fine. I have the same properties set on both computers but laptop will not run it & locks up & have to access Task Manager to end processes to regain Virtual Box back. I have VB Version 3.2.10 on both. Any Hints?

You might try the freeware program DosBox, which is a program designed specifically to run old dos programs on modern hardware with modern versions of Windows.. I'm assuming this program is old, because they don't make dos programs anymore. Dosbox runs things like old games and utilities very well. I haven't tried it on an XP guest but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Good luck to you.

I tried Dos box its runs fine but can't use the printer in Dos Box has no printer capability.
