Bootable Medium

I know next to nothing about computers, all I want is to be able to run windows on my mac os x
I follow the wizard instructions to the letter, and whenever I start the emulation, I get the same message:

"ERROR: No bootable medium found!"

I try again and again, but always get the same message (duh, but idk what to do differently!)

what the hell do I do?
Please someone help!

Do you have the Windows XP install CD and is it in the drive?
