I've been having a problem with getting bridged connections to work over my wifi connection (en0). I've done a bit of digging around and it seems to be due to VirtualBox not enabling promiscuous mode on the wifi interface. I had thought that it might be a permissions issue, but having tested with a wired connection, I can see that VirtualBox is actually able to tell an interface to go into promiscuous mode. It just doesn't appear to do this for the wifi interface.
I've also done tests with other tools (tcpdump) and verified that it is, in fact, possible to put the wifi interface into promiscuous mode, so I'm not really sure what the problem is.
This is running VirtualBox 3.2.12 on a Snow Leopard system (10.6.5). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
