Latest DirectX version for XP Pro Corp Version

I have Direct3d enabled and all but it shows under DXDIAG I have outdated versions and when i try to load halo ( directx testing purposes ) it says 9.0b isn't installed. I also tried to install 9.0c through microsoft website but says the version I have is already install or is the latest version. And another thing I find wierd is directx 7.0 failed the test, but 8.0 and 9.0 passed. Someone help!

Host: Ubuntu 10.10 64bit
Virtualbox version: 3.2.8_OSE r64453
Guest: Windows XP 32bit Pro Corporate ( updated, service pack 3 )
CPU allowed to Guest: 1 core ( Corei3 Intell )
Memory for guest: 2,000MB
Video: 128MB

No. You must use the Guest Additions. They install Wine3D.

If the does not work, then it does not work. Use Windows native, that is the best soltion for gaming.
