Clone PC (running win xp) to virtualBox

Post by angel.jgm »

Hi there!

I'm kind of newbie using VirutualBox. I've two laptops: an IBM/Lenovo running Windows XP, and a MacBook running Snow Leopard. I already have VirtualBox installed and running Win XP on my Mac, but I'd like to clone the IBM/Lenovo into that VirtualBox.
Any ideas about howto?
Regards,

Search the site (using google, as local search isn't very good) for the word P2V. You should find plenty of info, including what the word means, preparations you should make to ensure success, and caveats about Windows licensing and activation.

For what it is worth, I successfully used Paragon Software DriveCopy 9 "Migrate Physical to Virtual" feature to clone my old PC running XP and now I run this a VM on my new PC (running windows 7/64 bit)
