My host-os is 64bit-win7.
My guest-os is 32bit-win7.
I choose the sound-device of ICH-AC97, and install the driver downloaded from the offical web.
The sound of geust-win7 work!
But its quality is so bad,and there are some noise among it.

Dont expect HD Sound with emulated device. Some people say having good sound, but i think this is nice to have, nothing else.

Almost everyone has bad sound in Windows 7. No HD drivers. Word has it that this may be fixed in the next feature release.

What do you mean by "the next feature release"?
is it the next feature release of VirtualBox, or of AC97-Driver?

In the next VB release, which would be 4.0.0, it's very possible that there is a new sound option available. We already have SB16 for legacy systems (like DOS and Win9x) and AC'97. We will get HD Audio for Windows 7 to get better quality in that OS as guest.
