You must manually add this device via the control panel in the Windows Guest.
Since this falls outside the scope of this forum You should ask the Microsoft forums or google install Sound Blaster in Windows XP.

"add this device via the control panel in the Windows Guest"

I have tried this way. But I can't still find any device associated with Sound-Blaster.

iiiyyyhhhsss, did you google what I sent you? There are links there that tell you exactly how to do what you are wanting to do. The only thing that you need to do as far as VirtualBox is concerned is to select SB16 in the guest settings. All the rest is up to you and the guest OS.

I do wonder why you changed the default AC'97 (which XP has a driver build in) to SB16.

Because I thought the quality of SB16 might be better than AC'97,and I never try it.

Just because you had bad quality with W7 as Guest doesn't mean you get the same with XP. I hope you've got it working now with AC'97 on XP. Should sound just fine.
