AVM-VPN from Windows XP Guest with NAT

Hi,

I know about the problem that some type of packets are not backroutable to the virtual guest (e.g.ICMP). I've read a lot about that.

That's why my question: is there any workaround to make AVM's Fernzugang or alternatively the Shrew Soft VPN Connect (http://www.shrew.net/ with Port 500) work on the guest?

I have to use NAT because my local IP on my physical PC is the same as the IP address on the VPN target. And both IP addresses (customer's network and my network) cannot be changed.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,
Oliver.

Have you tried it? NAT can usually handle VPN connections. NAT looks after the address/port translations itself.
