xubuntu 10.10 guest -- can't get display > 800x600

Hi,

Currently using VirtualBox-3.2.10 on WinXP-SP3 (32-bit), and gues is xubuntu-10.10.

The VBox guest addition had 1 small snag --

Code: Select all

Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing VirtualBox 3.2.8 Guest Additions for Linux........

Am stuck with 800x600 resolution thanks to VESA drivers being used by Xorg instead of vboxdrivers, as I gather from this lXorg log:-

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install dkms
then install the GAs again

Thanks Perryg. That worked like a charm.
