Shared Folders on Windows7 No Longer Appear

I installed Windows7 Pro using Vbox on my Mac OS (Snow Leopard). At first, my Mac and shared folders appeared in the Network browser in Windows7, and I was able to read an NTFS-formatted USB partition. I used this share for a few installations. I believe I installed the Paragon driver for NTFS also. Suddenly, after a couple of reboots, none of my Mac shares appear in my Vbox Windows7 instance. I have changed every network setting possible, rebooted both Mac and VM, removed shares, added them back, etc. to no avail. I know that they were working at one point. Now I can't even see the Mac come up using the Network tool. I've tried SMB to the Mac address, and that does not work either. When I use Shared Folders on the VM toolbar, the Mac files come up and I can select the USB drive. However, when I log in with Windows7, I don't see anything shared/mapped. I do see an additional local disk (Q:) that reads "access denied" but I cannot open it or gather any information on it. What is the recommended best practice for viewing shares on the host?
