Hi everyone,
Having a problem installing guest OS's with Virtualbox 3.2.10.
Here is my hardware:
Tyan S2882-D motherboard with 2 x's AMD 280 cpu's
8 gig DDR 400 ecc
160 gig SATA drive
CentOS 5.5 64bit
NO AMD-V
When I try to install a 32 bit version of Windows XP, (or any other OS), I get the following error;
Failed to open session for the virtual machine WindowsXP.
AMD-V is not available. (VERR_SVM_NOSVM).
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_SVM_NOSVM).
Details:
Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x800004005)
Component: Console
Interface IConsole {6375231a-c17c-464b-92cb-ae9e128d71c3}
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is going on?
Thanks
zog

Re: Can't install 32 bit guest OS
And when you disable vt-x/amd-v for this VM ? (see VM settings in VBox GUI) no other stuff like kvm running ?
