how to use a vm as router

Post by deewanagan »

Dear All,

Sorry if this question have been posted here before

I wanted to use a linux guest(ubuntu) as a router, such that all the traffic passes through it to the internet. It should have two ports, one for incoming and the other one for outgoing traffic. coz i want to setup bandwidth management policies on this machine and want to test if it actually works. How can i do that?

Thanks,

You can choose two bridged adapters for the guest. Then its like a physical pc with 2 NICs in the network.
