Intel vPro benefit

Hi,

I am planning to buy a laptop, but I am a little bit confused with all the VT-x technologies and its variants from Intel.

Could anybody tell me what the benefits of the vPro technologies in the QM57 Express chipset over the regular VT-x is?

As far as I could see the only delta seems to be VT-d, which is to my understanding only relevant if one dedicates specific IO hardware to a guest under Xen, but not with VirtualBox. Is that correct? Does VirtualBox benefit in any way from the QM57 Express chipset extensions or is the only benefit really concerning the remote manageabilities that is unrelated to virtualization?

Any pointer to some fine manual or a clear comment is highly appreciated.

VB currently only supports the VT-x and AMD-V CPU extensions. In the future, it will include VT-d and IOMMU, but it's unknown when that will be.
